Katy Perry Tour - Review

At VANITY NIGHTMARE we love a good music artist and ones that have the whole package. The sex, fashion and music appeal. Yesterday I was lucky enough to see Katy Perry in concert at the BIC in Bournemouth and with acts such as Yelle, it was bound to be a poptastic night! The first thing that hits you was the smell of candy, either Katy fulfilled her promise to make the arenas smell like candy, or the perfume Purr by Katy Perry that I was wearing was finally hitting me. Although Calvin Harris pulled out, he wasn’t missed since the concert filled with French pop hits followed by LA DJ Skeet Skeet providing the venue with some club hits such as Black Eyed Peas and Ke$ha. The act everyone came to see came on just after 9pm opening with Teenage Dream and the show begun.

The show was themed in almost an Alice Through the Looking Glass mixed with the Wizard of Oz way with the story of Katy, a girl like many, who wanted to escape from her depressing, black and white life. The show was put together effortlessly with Katy often changing during songs or on stage. This meant that not only did the show run smoothly and perfectly together, it meant that Katy was really hardly ever off stage!

The California Dreams Tour has only just begun and is currently moving across the country as we speak. The tour will return in the autumn and will move from small venues such as the BIC to arenas such as the O2 in London.

If you want pop candy filled music and a general good time feel, the California Dreams Tour could be the escape that your looking for and gives you a break from your day to day life and turns it into a fantasy candy filled world.

Pictures speak louder than words so see for yourself below!
