I was torn between shooting outside or shooting in a studio for this shoot. The makeup is to appeal dusty and dirty, almost grave like but obviously exaggerated. The theme for this shoot was for the model to appear how they would if they were attending their own funeral. Cause of death? It's up to the viewer, the burnt almost sooty look creates a history, but only surface deep. The model is leaving the shadows and looking into the light, a clear distinction between death and afterlife.
