And a big yellow taxi took my girl away

And a big yellow taxi took my girl away - Counting Crows

I have 20 makeup shoots planned and yet I can't seem to bring myself to start them.  Something is stopping myself mentally from doing it and I can't seem to shake it.  The problem is me but I recognise this so I guess that's part of my worries taken care of!
I have been wanting to include this image on here for some time and I really have no idea why it's taken me over 4 months to post it here!  Kinda had to do the yellow taxi in a black and white image because it's so stereotypical of New York scenes, and I'm not going to lie, I hate the whole single item in colour concept.  Anyway! I took this image whilst working in New York during the AW13 collections.  As some of you may know I work as a freelance catwalk photography editor during the fashion season and I think it's one of the most amazing jobs in the world! I love every second of it and being in New York during fashion week, working during fashion week is just too amazing to explain in words.  I took this image on the way back from collecting an item and we walked down to this street to find a taxi.  In New York it's either really easy to get a taxi, or impossible.  This particular day was the impossible time and I snapped this rather quickly before we jumped into a taxi.
I love this image.  Hands down it's probably my favorite shots, and without realising I captured everything I would have wanted in a image like this.  I love the fact the Empire State Building is slightly faded in the background and I love that on the other side of the road is Macy's.  Madison Square Garden is just on the right and next to this is the subway station.  People are walking in all directions and of course there's the yellow taxi.

Some of the best things in life come out of happy mistakes and the great thing about them is that you never know when they will be coming at you next.
