The Princess and the Frog Inspired Makeup Look

The Princess and the Frog (2009)

When Disney create a new musical or a new Disney princess everyone is like WOAH, hold up a second.  Even I was, and I almost went into strike mode because I was thinking I am not having this and she, whoever she is, is not joining the ranks of Cinderella and Belle.  However I finally got around to watching the film and was very pleasantly surprised!  The directors of this film are also responsible for Aladdin, Hercules and The Little Mermaid, so on learning that fact I love this film a little more.  I've also just learnt that Anika Noni Rose is the voice for the soon to be princess (I didn't just spoil the ending it kinda gives that away in the title).  Anika has previously started alongside Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls so on learning that fact, I love this film even more!

I wanted to create this green makeup look because I wanted to create a natural makeup look with highlights and contours all drawn in.  When I say natural I mean nothing is exaggerated crazily, and it this was all in a true to colour skin tone, then the makeup would look quite flawless.  It felt a little strange to be using green to highlight and contour and I had to keep reminding myself that I am actually covered in green makeup!
