Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Inspired Makeup Look

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)

I had two options for this film, create one based upon the original film or one of the Tim Burton version.  Truthfully I prefer the Tim Burton 2005 version but hey!  I think the name 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' is a better title, but then I love 'Pure Imagination' and I'm a sucker for a good musical number!  Maybe the first film should have included Charlie in the title since the boy who played him never acted in another film.  In fact this was the only film he has ever acted in so If you were hoping to see him in something new, well, your going to be disappointed.  Maybe charlie never left the Chocolate Factory...

For this look I drew inspiration in the gold from the golden ticket and this is represented on the nails and as body art.  The teal hair pays homage to the controversial Umpa-Lumpas, (I think teal would have looked much better on them) and I edited the photo to give a contrast between light and dark.
In previous posts I have always said I love things that turn something happy and innocent into something that is much darker and both of these films do this perfectly.  I would love to see a horror version of these films, but then again horror film scare me so I probably wouldn't watch it!  As I said, where is 1971 Charlie?
